Jezebel is a song by Panagiotis Katopodis for voice and classical guitar with nylon strings. Its sparse instrumentation places the emphasis on the vocal narrative and the text, while the softer, rounded timbre of the nylon-string guitar gives the work an intimate and restrained sonic character.
The lyrics move through images of confinement, absence, fear and endurance. The prison is not described through literal bars, but as an emotional condition, while the recurring invocation “Jezebel” operates as the central refrain and intensifies through repetition toward the end of the song.
